Cap'n'Pop Walkthrough

Cap 'n' Pop is a colorful, engrossing and entirely addictive puzzle game that grabs your attention from the very first round and doesn't let go until the end of round ten - if you can make it to the end, that is. It isn't an easy game and it will take a little getting used to, but you'll have a blast as you learn how to play and develop a strategy that will help you do better in the game. If you're used to traditional point and click puzzle games, it might be a little difficult for you to get the hang of this one, but try not to get frustrated. Once you play the game a few times you'll get a better understanding of how the game is played which will help you get much further. Remember though, the game does get more difficult as the levels progress, but with patience you should be able to get through all ten levels and beat the game.

You have two modes of play to choose from with Cap 'n' Pop; Classic Mode and Puzzle Mode. The games are played basically the same way with the same rules and controls, but the layout of the games are a bit different. While where are few obstacles in Classic Mode to contend with, Puzzle Mode throws in all sorts of barricades and obstacles to make the game more difficult. If you are looking for a real challenge, consider trying out Puzzle Mode. If you're just looking for a fun way to kill some time, Classic Mode should offer exactly what you're looking for. Neither option is easy, but Puzzle Mode is definitely the more difficult of the two.

The basic premise of Cap 'n' Pop is fairly simple - remove all of the capsules on the screen without using up all of your available shots. If you make a chain reaction removing more than five capsules with one shot, you are rewarded with an extra shot. If you make a really impressive chain reaction, you'll rack up several extra shots rather quickly. Try to do this as often as possible as the number of shots you end one level with is the number of shots you will begin the next level with. To remove capsules and try for chain reactions, you simply need to click on the capsules. The large red capsules are ready to be removed, but anything smaller than the red capsules will need to either be clicked on multiple times or be used as part of multiple chain reactions. The smallest capsules, the blue ones, will need to be changed to green, then yellow, then orange and then pink before they can be removed. It sounds a little complicated, but once you've been playing for a level or two, it will make a lot more sense.

Overall, Cap 'n' Pop isn't a game for those who get easily frustrated or who aren't willing to take a little time to figure out how to play a game. There are certain puzzle games out there that just aren't easy to explain and this is one of them. This is a game you really need to play for yourself and figure out how everything works on your own. It's not nearly as complicated as it sounds and you'll have a great time learning how to play.
